Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Canon 10x30 Image Stabilization Binoculars w/Case, Neck Strap & BatteriesCustomer Review: Amazing. Summary: 5 Stars
The product came rapidly and as advertised. They (10x30 Canon IS) are amazing! I wish they had lens caps but I put them back in the case when not in use. You actually can use them while riding as a passenger if the road isn't too awful. Overall, I can't get over the clarity of the image. I think I'll save up for the larger ones although these meet almost any binocular need. I highly recommend these. You have to see the clarity of the image to believe it. Buy them, you'll not be disappointed. PS They work great with glasses on. I haven't used my other 10x30 (name brand) binoculars since I got these.
Customer Review: Awesome! Summary: 5 Stars
I ordered these on a whim as I needed a pair of binoculars for watching ships and birds. The binoculars are nice and when you press the button to kick in the image stabilization feature you see this technology shine. These are absolutely fantastic for long range work as the image stabilizer easily compensates for the motions of your hands as you hold the binoculars. These are also good for close up work. I was watching birds with them today and they're nice as they stabilize the image and allow you to focus on details you can't perceive when you are trying to hold a pair of binoculars steady.
Customer Review: Works great Summary: 5 Stars
I'll leave reviews of the optics and such to others who have more knowledge in the area. I bought these for the image stabilization, and that part works wonderfully. The view is the same as other binoculars I've had, until you press (and hold) the magic button. About a second later the jitteriness smooths out and the subtle details of the subject become crystal clear. As an example I used them from a ship looking at other distant ship traffic. They enabled me to read the ship names at a great distance where there was no hope without using the stabilization. These things work, I like 'em.
Customer Review: Well worth the price Summary: 5 Stars
Even though I only own the binoculars for a few days, I'm very impressed.
The magnification is terrific without any distortions and the image stabilizer works great. Especially when viewing moving objects it makes an incredible difference. After owning a few less expensive binoculars, I was hesitant to spend the money, because I was not quite sure if the image stabilizer would make that much of a difference - it does.
The only downside that I would note is that it only came with lens caps for the back occulars??? Might have to contact Canon to find out if that is normal.
Customer Review: magnification and stabilization is the way to go Summary: 5 Stars
I already have an old pair of Canon 12X35's and love them, but I could leave them at home now.
These 10X30's are a lot lighter, the image is brighter, and the magnification almost the same.
The stabilization makes X10 mag easily usable. The only disadvantage is the narrow field of view that results from the high mag - a fast moving bird is tough to find.
Seems the optics have been changed/improved over the years. If you look closely at the eyepiece I think there may be non-spherical lenses in there. The edge to edge sharpness is very good.
