Customer Review: Good but could be better

Everything about the BG-E2N kit is great, it comes with the Canon Battery which is used with the exciting battery your camera should already have. And the Cleaning kit is also a plus.
The only thing i didn't like about it was, it was made to be use with multiple cameras, i wish it was designed for the 40D. Since the 40D is slightly wide then the 20/30D, the one side doesn't sit flush and it would have been nice if it included a AF-ON button. Since i had my camera i used my AF on a separate button then my shutter button, and it was the AF-ON, now i have to get use to use the Exposure Lock * button.
It does add a little weight to it, i put on my 70-200 2.8L IS along with my 580exII flash foe testing purposes and it was un-godly heavy. I wouldn't want to be carrying that all day long. (Even though the grip only added 1.6lbs, in combination with the rest makes it pretty heavy)
