The FS100 camcorder-great! Amazon -great too! What's bad is the Canon battery. I bought a backup BP808 battery from Frys Electronics for about $80. It went bad in 1 month. I took it back and they replaced it...great! Now, 5 months later, it happened again and they say call Canon, as they aren't doing anything with it.Canon says they don't warranty batteries. 'So you mean to tell me I have a camcorder that only takes a certain battery that they make, and even if it lasts a week they won't replace?' And they said," yes, but we'll log your complaint". Darn right.

I ordered a battery for a cannon FS100. The invoice for the battery I received indicated it was for an FS100 but was too big for my camera. Since I had opened the package thinking it was the proper battery, I was unable to return it for a refund. Thus, I lost about $60 on this purchase. I ordered this battery, went right to Europe for a month and when we got there the battery didn't work at all. The battery won't even charge or hold a charge. I'm hoping that the seller will give me a new battery. I'm hoping that this will help me find the right person to talk to about this.
