This battery should have come with the camera (Vixia HF20) in the first place. With that said, this bettery with full charge lasts about 2 hours and 45 minutes. Size is not too big, which is good. Overall, with 2 hours 45 minutes of juice plus the original battery that came with the camera gives 1 hour, I have plenty of shooting time. I think everyone who owns the Cannon camcorder should buy this.Customer Review: A necessity for a Canon HD video camera

Got to have this battery - it's my primary battery, although it does stick out pretty far from the back of the camera, and isn't the same pretty grey/taupe as the camera. But it works, and lasts a long time. Recharges quickly, too. Expensive, but worth it if you're going to be shooting anywhere for more than an hour or so. The OEM battery really doesn't get it done for long.Customer Review: Terrific buy!

This battery is the best investment you can make for your HF-100. Whereas the default battery lasts under an hour, this one lasts easily over two hours with very little extra weight. It is a little larger but I find the larger size actually helps me stabilize while using the camera by placing my thumb under the battery. I wouldn't own the HF-100 camera without this battery.Customer Review: Excellent Product

This is an excellent battery with good overall charge, it is much better than the standard battery the canon camcorder comes with. I would definately recommend this battery to anyone, also I did not go for the larger 800 series battery because I did not want it to stick out too much from the camcorder.
