It was a good decision to get this extended battery. Its got plenty of recording life and changes pretty quickly. Need this for recording our functions which can run for 2 - 3 hours straight.

The original Canon battery showed 69 minutes remaining when fully charged. This one shows 133 minutes. So nearly double the life. A bit pricey, but for me it will be worth it.

This is the only way to really get the maximum use from a camera with more than 3 hours of record memory. The battery sticks out from the rear of the camera only a little (.6 inch).
