It's a battery charger. It works as advertised, but what I am happy about is how fast it was delivered. The return message told me it would be 7-10 days, but it got here in three. I needed the charger and extra battery for the weekend and they got here on time. I also ordered a second battery for the same camera and they almost beat each other to my door. i ordered this product through amazon instead of the canon website and saved about $10-$15. Canon charges $50 plus a leg for shipping and handling. i was a little hesitant at first but made sure to research my camera and read the "contents in the box" on the canon website to make sure i was getting the right charger for my camera. it got to my house in a week. and low and behold it was the right charger. i was and am still very satisfied with my purchase.Customer Review: Does its job without taking up space

If you have the type of Canon battery that this charges, this charger is probably your best bet. The multipurpose chargers that stores tend to carry are much bulkier and often more expensive as well. This product is identical to the charger that came with my camera (before I lost it...); it is compact and convenient (the flip out prongs make this especially true), and the orange/green indicator light is simple and effective.Customer Review: Brand new

This item came to me very quickly and was in brand new condition. The battery charger worked perfectly and it was easy to find at a very low price.These chargers can be a little on the pricey side so it was a real big issue when I lost mine in Las Vegas. I have used this charger for several years. I ordered a new one thinking I lost my old one but then I found it. I could have returned it but for the price, it doesn't hurt to have another. The charger is compact and can go into your shirt pocket. It's that light. It doesn't take long to charge the battery and once it is fully charged and depending on how much you use the camera, the battery lasts forever.
