It's not really easy to rate printer ink, but I have to say that I love my Canon printer! I always buy their ink rather than trying some of these "ink refill" options or off-brand cartridges that some people use. I don't want to gum up my printer by using an inferior or unknown product.
The combination of my printer and this ink give me great quality pages. I have not taken the time to count how many pages I get per cartridge. Sometimes it seems like I go through a cartridge very quickly and other times it lasts for quite a long time. What I can say relative to these cartridges is that you can still get LOTS of pages with good quality after the ink level indicator says you are low. I always leave the cartridge in until I see problems on the page, and ignore the notices that appear on both the printer display and the system messages on my computer. If I changed cartridges when the low ink indicator first appeared, I would be throwing away dozens of pages of quality print still available in that cartridge.
I do wish the price of the cartridges would come down. It seems that all of the printer companies now virtually give away their printers and then make up for it with the replacement ink cartridge prices!

I really like Canon's ink products for my Pixma printer, but as with any ink cartridge they don't last as long as we would like. Forever would be nice, but not ideal for Canon. :)
Besides wanting the ink to last longer, I really have no complaints for this cartridge. They have really good quality color printing. The cartridges don't gum up like some of the others I have used in the past for different printers.
This is also the best price point I have seen (even from an "office supply" store). If you are going save more money, buy the black canon cartridge too and save on the shipping.
I would definitely recommend buying this cartridge versus a generic one.

I've got a Canon MP310 and it works beautifully. I've used this CL-41 to print photos on photo paper and it's worked fine for that purpose as well as standard printing.
The cartridge arrived in new condition, works fine and I have no complaints aside from the sheer cost of replacement cartridges, but that's what we get with printers these days, it seems.
My only tip is to ensure that you get the right cartridge for your printer, since there are so many out there.
