Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG for Canon EOS SLR Cameras (Black with Green Accent)

Customer Review: Excellent protection
Summary: 5 Stars

I like this bag. I'll say it.

Unfortunately, I've had it for about 6 months and I've already accidentally crushed one of the strap pieces in a car door. Thankfully I can still use the other strap, but it's awkward for me going on my left shoulder rather than my right shoulder. I wish I had crushed the other one.

Anyway, let's talk features. This bag has plenty of compartments and I think they're well thought-out. You have several layers of top spots for things like your photo literature that comes with your cameras or lenses or whatever else you might have. It has internal netted-mesh pockets in the main compartment where you can store all your cables, sd cards (keep them in cases of course), chargers and extra batteries. You can manipulate the size of the compartments and my Rebel XSi fits fine in the bag even with a telephoto lens on it.

I also keep my lenses wrapped in bubble wrap inside the bag, but I don't think it would be really necessary. I just want to protect my stuff in case it drops a bit farther than I would prefer. Well, to be honest, I don't want my stuff to drop at all. ;) This is a great bag either way. It reminds me of the sturdiness of my Targus laptop bag I got about 3 years ago.

Customer Review: The Perfect Bag
Summary: 5 Stars

This bag is fantastic. It's about the size of a typical school backpack with a great style and lots of room. Each of the dividers are securely held in place with Velcro and can be moved to create the right size for your equipment or removed all together to allow for even larger items.

The bag is built well, feels very rugged, and is padded very well on all sides. There are plenty of compartments and zippered storage areas to carry extra items such as filters, GPS, Cellphone, etc.

The bag also has two locking straps that connect around your midsection to keep the bag from bouncing around as well as padded and curved shoulder harnesses.

The main zipper can easily be opened to allow for easy access to a top loaded camera.

The colors (Canon colors) are neutral and dull so as to not stand out in a crowd.

It's hard to see in the pictures, but there is also a decent sized plastic canon logo on the top of the front opening flap. I think it looks nice, but people wanting to keep the bag's contents a secret might want to cover this up or attempt to cut it off the bag.

The bag alone is fantastic, for the price (averaging in the 30's) it's out of this world!

When I frist bought my Canon Digital Rebel XT I purchased a small shoulder style bag with it. I purchased the camera - and accessories - with a cruise to Alaska in mind. I did not realize camera backpacks were an option - I had researched the camera not the accessories. As I researched accessories a little more - and thought about where me, and my camera, were going I thought a backpack was a good idea. I am the kind of person that does a *lot* of research - for the price and features this backpack is the best. The price - just as good as many costing two or three times as much with just as much room and padding. The features - large enough for my Canon Digital Rebel XT with Canon grip and 17 - 85 mm lens attached (with hood), 50 mm prime, 75 - 300 mm zoom, filters, Canon 430 EX Speedlite - and lots of manuals - couple of ponchos, large rocket blower and some personal items (bucket hat attached the front, cables, memory card pouch). It is *very* comfortable and was a constant fixture on the seven day Alaska cruise - I would recommend this product very highly. There are more expensive backpacks - larger backpacks - but for a great mix of price, features and a medium sized kit - this is the best!! Happy snapping!!

Customer Review: Because there is no option to give it 6 stars

I've been hauling camera equipment all over the country. Wherever I'm at, my camera bag is usually within a few feet. So why do I like this particular one?

1. Relatively inexpensive - let's be real. That's why we order online in the first place.
2. It's a great bag - Easily holds camera, flash unit, and 5 lenses and that's just in the main compartment. it has two zippered areas, and many smaller compartments for tools, flashlights, gels, batteries, cables, and all your other junk you wouldn't want to find yourself without.

It has stretch cable, that I haven't found a lot of use for on the bag itself, but it is GREAT to use to hang your bag on your tripod for additional stabilization weight.

I've used the bag for more than a year, and it is the one item I will consistently recommend to others.

Becuase it packs your equipment in a small footprint, it's not a good bag to get if you want to lug around a large laptop. In fact, if you're using any type of laptop, you might want to look for something larger in a bag.

Still, this is a wonderfully functional bag that holds more than you'd ever imagine ('cept for that laptop).

Customer Review: This was the best gift ever <3

My boyfriend got this for me for our anniversary before we went on vacation. The main reason we chose this bag was because someone had posted a picture with a 12inch laptop in the front pocket. I own a 13 inch so I was hoping I could swing putting my laptop in here with my camera so I could cut down on baggage space. And sure enough it fit! A little snug and kindof hard to zip at first, but it did the trick for vacation. I dont think I would suggest doing this all the time because it put a lot of strain on the zipper and made the bag very heavy.

I wore this all week while we were out and when only the camera and its accessories were in it it was very comfortable only causing a few minor problems for me because the straps werent as cushy as I normally try to find due to my back problems. But I was able to tough it out.

There is so much space in this bag its unbelievable. I had room for my camera stuff plus my iphone, cellphone, a gameboy, various chargers, and some cleaning stuff. And all of that was in the main compartment. I had some snacks in the front pocket most of the time.

I would most definitely recommend this product :]
