No need to purchase everything separately! This kit has it all. Genuine canon case, battery, and neck strap. The case fits my SD700 perfectly. It has a hard insulation, very sturdy but yet looks elegant with the leather covering. The cover snaps nicely, there is a hole at the top of the cover to feed the wrist strap through (there is also a matching wrist strap that comes with the case if you choose to use this one other than the wrist strap that comes with the camera). Please be aware the case only has room for the camera and no room for extra batteries or cards.
Canon knows how to accessorize their cameras! It's a no brainer to purchase this accessory kit when purchasing a PowerShot SD series camera.

The case is nice leather and fits the SD700IS very well. It's small enough that it doesn't add much to the size of the camera (after all, I bought a compact camera so that it would be small enough to always have it with me and a big case would defeat that purpose), but is sturdy enough to protect the camera. The package doesn't say so, but it comes with a matching leather wriststrap (package only mentions metallic neckstrap, which is included also). I read too many complaints that non-Canon batteries didn't fit well in the camera, so I decided to stick with the Canon brand battery. Getting the case and battery in this Accessory Kit was less expensive than buying the case and battery separately.Customer Review: great combo if need case with a spare battery

We needed a nice case too and this one was perfect, and the lanyard is nice as well.

This is a great purchase.
At the time of purchase, it only cost a few dollars more to purchase this Canon leather case + Canon battery set (than buying the Canon battery alone); so it was a no brainer. And for me the leather case was important because I had used one for another camera and I was used to the convenience of having it on my belt when going to parks, etc with my daughter.
The necklace might come in handy some day, but I haven't used it yet. However, the first and last time I ever saw someone using a similar necklace for a compact camera was at a technology trade show about a year ago... I thought it was a very unique way to carry the camera.

Nice case, easily hidden beneath shirt or jacket when worn on belt, or be a geek (like me) and let it show. Easy to put hand through strap and get camera in and out of case without looking. Extra battery is pretty essential since there is no remaining charge indicator on camera. There is a black strap to match the case which can be used instead of the gray nylon strap that comes with the camera. At first I thought the black strap was superfluous, but then I had occasion to wear the camera when I was all dressed up fancy like, and the black strap really completes the stylish appearance of the package. I'm glad I got this kit with my SD700, which I am also very happy with.
