I suggest nothing else to carry your camera in. The carrying case seems to be good enough protection from a "light" drop (ouch!) and even has a belt loop if you prefer. The extra battery that comes with this package is the same as the factory battery in every way. I haven't noticed a difference at all in performance. A neck strap is also included, but I haven't used it as of yet. A neck strap is a neck strap. I am very pleased with this accessory pkg. and would buy it again even if I just needed a battery. Considering the $$$ spent for a battery alone, this pkg. is worth the extra $10 or so given what each item sells for individually. MONEY WELL SPENT!Customer Review: CANON Digital Elph Camera Kit

This is a fine way to get all three needed items for your Canon camera in one shot. I have helped friends and relatives get 30 of these cameras and used to shop these items separately. This is a good price and very nice to get it all in one purchase. You must have a second camera battery so you do not miss out on all the photos you wanted at an event. No battery.....No camera......... Even if is at Cousin Clara's Wedding!
I wish Canon would sew a pocket into the front of the camera case to hold the second battery. That is the only suggestion I would make to this great kit! Respectively submitted, R F Hauser

I purchased this camera because my Canon EOS Rebel XT digital was just to big to haul around in general travel or recreation. This camera is easy to use and you can tuck it in your pocket. Has the same high quality feel and performance I've come to expect from Canon. Control dial to select program mode might be a little hard to operate for persons with arthritis in fingers because like all controls on camera they are small. But so is camera. Very pleased with quality of printed pictures. Built in flash works great at close range but will not give you the light you need at longer distances in large areas.Customer Review: A great camera!

This is a great camera that has met all of our needs. It actually makes taking pictures fun! Our main concern was finding a camera that actually took the picture immediately after pressing the button as our old camera was slow and we kept missing the good shot of our kids smiling. But not only did we get that feature, we also found lots of other nice things about it. We love the auto rotate feature when reviewing the images and the image stabilizer works great! I actually took it on a bouncy castle and got great shots. The menu on the camera is also easy to use and we picked it up right away.Customer Review: Canon Elph Accessory Kit is - what you need

The hard leather case offers good protection and fits nicely on a belt. Some reviews said that a negative on the case is that it doesn't carry the spare battery. Personally, I like the fact that it is a minimal drag on my belt and only carries the camera.
The extra battery is something that you should always have on trips so you would buy one anyway. The long neck strap is something that I don't use but I can see where some will hang the camera around their neck and find it useful. I found it useful to buy one kit and have all of the extras that I normally buy for a camera.
