What a great upgrade from the 1.4. Was a bit worried about what Ive read about the 1.2 but decided to pull the trigger anyway.
No focus issues here. Even did a test w/ the spyder lens cal and it was spot on there as well. I dunno if canon has changed something or if I just got lucky.

This lens is a bit larger than I expected, but it sure takes in the light. Focus is a little tricky, but certainly worth the effort. Manual focus ring seems to work well. I think that this lens will be in use on my 5D for a long time.

The only negative thing I can say about this lense is the price. But do I regret paying what I did? NO WAY. This lense is amazing. The bokeh and color satuation is amazing! I also have the 85mm/1.2L and the 35mm/1.4L.Customer Review: Good product

I purchased it, honestly i never used a fixed lens, this 50mmm need more of your creativity, but after a couple of weeks this lens gives me all than i need. good choise

This lens takes beautiful pictures with amazing bokeh. I haven't noticed any of the focusing issues so far; will update if I do. I use it for child portraiture
