After receiving this product, I was quite amazed at how great of an item it actually is. yeah, its roughly 20 bucks but worth every penny. I just got it today and put it on my 28-135mm IS lens and it fits perfectly! The fuzz on the inside i'm guessing is supposed to catch dust particles etc.
All in all, great product! Canon is the way to go!

So I shot with out a lens hood for quite sime time befor I got this hood. If you are an outdoor shooter then you really want to get this hood for your FE 28-135mm that may have come with your new 40D. I don't like using UV filter to protect my lends I just put this on. Every lends I buy I get a lends hood for it even my new 10-22mm. Thats all...Customer Review: Can't beat this hood!

This is the third hood I have purchased for my Canon 40D, and this is by far the BEST! From the way the hood locks onto my lenses, to the felted interior of the hood, there is nothing better out there! The price is amazing. I have thrown the hood into my camera bag and suitcase, and the hard plastic does not even show a scratch.Customer Review: Great good

This is a pretty good hood for the 28-135 IS.
It is a little expensive at ~$25 for a piece of plastic, but it gets the job done.
This hood prevents lens flare and it also physically protects the front of the camera when I carry it around.
It reverses on the lens for storage in a case.

I bought this lens hood to replace the junk aftermarket hood I got on Ebay from Hong Kong. This hood is designed by Canon to fit the Canon lens, and it works perfectly. The Chinese item was complete junk and never fit correctly; it was cheaper by about $10, but it was not worth the savings.
