Customer Review: Camcorder lasted as long as one battery charge (two months and no good)

This product lasted until the initial battery charge was depleated. Camera never did charge the battery and will not play nor record off the plug-in cord for power. Call canon and they want me to send the faulty product back at my expense so they can fix it. It's only two months old and should not break down ... actually it was already broken when I got it ... just didn't know until the battery went dead and so did the camera. I find it troubling that I have to pay for shipping and insurance to have a bad product that was sold to me just so I can have it fixed. This is the second and last time I will buy a canon product. I previously bought a high dollar Canon EOS 5 and it also had to be fixed. Guess Canon doesn't have a quality control program in place.
This bad rating isn't against the merchant that sold me the faulty product, but rather it's against CANON !!!

the camecorder is great , but softwear truly sucks, after hours of fighting with the Corel product I give up, do not even download into your comp. just throw it away
