Much smaller and lighter than Mark II design. Gives sense of security knowing you have a backup. Holds a great charge. Price may be a tad high however that should lower as time goes by.Customer Review: Superb life but pricey

This battery lasted for over 1000 pictures, plus hours of lens micro-adjustments, mirror-locked cleaning, etc. This includes two shooting trips in sub-freezing weather. I just put a new battery in the camera, and I expect to get at least 2000 pictures off of that one.
UPDATE: Less than 2 years and the battery will no longer charge (or is even recognized by the charger). For such a pricey product, the warranty is a whopping 90 days. Talk about lack of faith in your product! Even the cheap knock-offs offer a 3-5 year warranty. Disappointed, but when it works it's a champ.
