In reading other reviews it seems some have been having problem with their batteries holding charge. Mine works really well and holds a charge well, but I do make sure it's fully discharged before I charge it. Not sure if the manufacturer recommends that, but I do it anyway. I've had it for a year now and it still works like new. Also, for Canon S10 users, there is a firmware upgrade that really improved my night shots, shutter speed, and flash color balance. Search the net and you can find it to download and directions on how to install. It's a snap to do.
