Regardless of where I have comparison shopped, it is consistently cheaper to buy the black and white cartridge and color cartridge in the combo pack vice buying them separately. Plus each combo pack comes with a special bonus, such as the 4x6 photo paper.
As far as the ease-of-use factor, these couldn't get any easier. Open the printer, slip in the cartridge and close the tray.
