I have a Canon MP830 printer. I have always used the Canon brand of ink tanks, and they work reliably. A few months ago I had a printing problem, which a Canon customer service person was able to successfully walk me through by phone. One of the nozzles was plugged. I had to do a "deep cleaning" process a few times. So, sometimes even the Canon ink can get clogged, but Canon has solutions if you make the call.Customer Review: Thrilled

I am thrilled with my buy. I have looked all over and found my best deal at Amazon.com much to my surprise. I have ordered ALL my colors from here and will continue to do so. Ebay offers refilled cartridges without the chip needed and say for YOU to replace them with your old ones, well why take the chance of screwing up your printer...spring for the REAL ones that are COMPLETE. Canon printer cartridges are just ridiculously expensive! It's a real racket that Canon has going, but at least there was some relief in buying these cartridges through Amazon. I spent a lot of time trying to find new cartridges and these were by far the best price. In talking to other Canon owners they suggested only buying Canon Ink as they had problems with refills and off brands. Off brands are cheaper but I have only used Canon Ink and not had any problems. The ink works great. I ran low at 10PM on a Saturday and conveniently and confidently ordered from Amazon. They also came up as the lowest price on comparison sites.Customer Review: Yep Its black.

I really dont trust generic ink or refill type products because I've heard stories about the mess they can make and issues with your printer. I would love to save some money but I dont want the potential hassle. As for the Canon original ink. I put it in the printer and its working fine. Not really a lot to tell. I just wish they lasted longer.
