It is difficult to find these print cartridges that are manufactured by Canon. When you do of course they are not cheap. I had a bad experience in the past purchasing non-OEM cartridges for other printers and I think you get what you pay for when you have an expensive printer and want quality and longevity. I have always felt that replacement ink cartridges sold by the manufacturer of the printer for which they are intended are superior to other cartridges manufactured or marketed by another company. My wife and I have stopped buying "generic" ink refills. We haven't had good luck with them. Our Pixma MP 500 certainly seems to be aging better. And Amazon offers the best price we've found. This Canon ink pack is noted for its high level of quality - you really can't go wrong with it. However, generic ink packs have recently become available, providing similar quality at a third of the price. Especially with black ink, this gives you a chance to reduce your ink costs without losing out on quality.
