This is a great case that protects my G5. This case was meant to protect the camera only and not meant for storage. That's what a camera bag is for. It is made of actual leather and if you can find one at a reasonable price ($40) buy it. It is very well designed and you can access everything including swinging out the view screen. You have to remove the bottom of the case to remove the battery but it just screws off, and you can still attach your G5 to a tripod with the case on. The engineers at Canon did a great job when they thought the case design out for the G5.
