Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Canon PSC-3100 PowerShot Case for Canon SX200IS Digital CamerasCustomer Review: Quality camera case, but . . . Summary: 3 Stars
I figured my first new digital camera in over 5 years deserved a quality case. I looked in all the expected shopping places and found this one that seemed to fill the bill, though a couple of things that didn't work out like I planned. First, the interior of the case is really too big for my Canon A2000 that is among those models it is allegedly intended for. It bounces around in the padded interior in a way that seems inappropriate to me. Sigh, but OK - it is padded, after all. Then, you find that the magnetic latch that secures the cover is a real bear to unlatch. Second sigh, though neither disabling. I'm annoyed that both could have been avoided, and that I now have to decide whether to find a replacement or live with the inconvenience of this one. Arrgh.
Customer Review: Just nice. Summary: 3 Stars
Just nice. It makes an already bulky camera more bulky. Wish it was more form fitting to the camera.
Customer Review: This Case Does Not Fit the Canon Power Shot SX210 IS Well Summary: 2 Stars
The Canon Deluxe Leather Case PSC-3100 is a nice-looking, well-designed, reasonably-priced item, made of good leather, with magnetic closure, and a back belt loop. However, I have been told by persons more knowledgeable in this area than I am that it was designed for the previous camera in the Canon Power Shot 210 series, and is, in fact, really too large for the newest camera, the Canon Power Shot SX210 IS, as some other reviewers have stated. In fact, I've been told that this case is so overly large that in one instance the camera fell out and broke in two. Now, it's not the most expensive camera in the world, but neither is it the cheapest, and who wants to lose a camera this way. Apparently the Lowe's case, also offered by Amazon, and also quite reasonably priced, is the better fit.
Customer Review: Not what I wanted Summary: 2 Stars
It's just an ordinary case for the camera only. Not what I need. I need something that is very tight and snug fit to protect the camera only so I can fit into my purse for easy access to take pictures of my kids.
Customer Review: Does not fit SX210IS Summary: 2 Stars
I agree with another reviewer. Well made and designed but the SX210IS "slops" around in it - there is about 1/2 inch space on all sides. Definitely should not be recommended by Amazon to go with this camera.
