Customer Review: Form, Fit, Function - Perfect! Canon Powershot Case Review
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased the Canon Powershot A75 and ordered this case. I also purchased the $3.97 Wal-mart Samsonite case first. The Canon case is designed for the Powershot A series and fits absolutely perfect, the case is a fabric vinyl mixture, mostly vinyl, which is soft to the touch but water repellent. It has a metal insignia "Canon Powershot" on the flap and room for one extra memory card underneath. This case provides protection from elements, scratches and has a belt loop for mobility...it does not include a shoulder strap because it was NOT designed for that, nor for shock protection from drops. It is designed to hold the camera while mobile, protect from damage from near objects or elements, and provide suitable soft cushion on the inside while REMOVING AND REPLACING it in the case. This is the key...the camera is equipped with a 1.8" LCD, any OTHER case will scratch this screen while you take it OUT of the case or put it back IN. The above $3.97 case mentioned has extra rooom, is 25% larger than the camera and can hold some batteries along with memory cards, but it is difficult to PLACE and REMOVE (getting your fingers in there) and the ZIPPER will SCRATCH the screen unless you are SUPER careful which I was for 3 days until I said "to heck with this!" I even left the protective plastic on the screen for the first 2 days and I'm glad I did, the scratch marks ended up there instead of the screen. Remember, you want the case to fit your camera, provide REASONABLE protection, and look good. The case accomplishes all these at $5.95!! I understand we MAY drop our cameras but this happens out of the case usually and therefore moot. I dropped my Canon T70 (large SLR) maybe 3 times in 12 years. It was still going strong and I retired it when I bought the Powershot. For those that want lots of room, please think about it - either you buy a larger memory card (which 90% of people will do) and you don't need more room in a case or at least still carry the extra in this case (2 cards, one in case, one in camera). As for batteries, you should be using NiMH rechargeable - this camera takes 4 and will shoot at least 250 shots. I used mine for 3 days and its not showing low yet (approx 200 shots and TONS of viewing/deleting/uploading, playing with settings and flash)

My best regards to you and your purchase of camera and case!

Customer Review: A Basic, No-Frills, Compact Camera Case
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this camera case along with my now-antiquated Canon A60 camera a few years back. I use it to keep my camera well-protected on my hikes. I love it for its functionality and durability. Here are some of its features along with some pros and cons:

Features:

- PVC exterior - makes it splash proof
- Plush fabric interior won't scratch camera
- Pouch large enough for a set of 2 AA batteries OR a few SD/CF cards
- Padded to adequately protect camera from light bumps and scratches
- Velcro securely fastens flap

Pros:

- Exterior is easy to clean - just wipe with a damp cloth
- Snug fit with no wiggle room
- Easy open and close Velcro flap
- Compact - not very much bigger than the camera
- Well-made and durable
- Attractive - light grey with dark grey border

Cons:

- belt loop is sewed on the back - no belt clip
- pouch doesn't hold very much - at most 2 AA batteries OR a few SD/CF cards

Personally, I love it for its simplicity. I needed a camera case to simply protect my camera from dirt, dust, scratches, and bumps - and the Canon PSC-60 fits the bill perfectly.

If you need a bigger pouch to hold 4 AA batteries, consider the PSC-65, which has pretty favorable reviews. If you need a basic, no-frills, compact camera case that is functional, durable, and attractive, the Canon PSC-60 Camera Case will do very nicely.

Customer Review: Great value, quality, and compact size.
Summary: 5 Stars

Although I would definitely prefer black to this camera case's 1980's-era gray color, camera cases are renowned for being fairly ugly, so I can live with the color. What it lacks in color, it makes up for in design. Most camera cases are bulky and poorly designed to hold a camera, but this one is just right, slipping snugly around my Canon A95 and securing tightly with Velcro. It's like a cushiony glove for my camera. There's a little mesh pocket under the Velcro flap that holds either spare batteries or a memory card (not both). The case doesn't add much at all to the size of the camera (i.e., it will still stuff into my coat pocket or my purse. The design isn't foolproof; my camera fits in this two different ways, one of which exposes the LCD screen to more risk from dirt and grit in a purse/backpack/pocket that could get under the flap and into my camera. But unless your purse/backpack/pocket is really filthy or you're hard on your camera equipment, that probably won't happen. For around $6 at Amazon (I've seen it for up to $30 at online camera shops), this is a great deal for a quality camera case for the average person.

Customer Review: Exceeded my expectations for the price.
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this case for my A80. I did not want something that was waterproof, big, fancy or that had a bunch of extra features. I just wanted a simple case that would protect the camera when traveling and storing. It accomplishes these objectives perfectly.

I like the fact that the belt loop is sewed into the case. When I am at a race or amusement park, I want the assurance that there is no way the camera will come off my belt unless it completely breaks.

The inside of the case is soft and the outside is a water repellant-type material with a large velcro "snap".

You can't see it from the picture, but once opened, the case features a web-like pouch for batteries or a CF card. It will not hold both, but all I care about is batteries since I do not carry a spare CF card.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this case for the price I paid for it. It does what I want in an efficient and compact way. I bought it without seeing it in a store. After receiving it, I would have expected this to have cost around 15-20 dollars. I like it. It's just right.

Customer Review: Compact as can be but still holds on-the-go essentials
Summary: 5 Stars

This case has served me well with my Canon PowerShot A80. 4 AA batteries fit snugly in the pocket (not fallen out yet) and there's just enough room to tuck an extra CompactFlash card or two into the main pocket around the camera - and yet this whole package is very reasonably sized. In two years and travelling around the world I've never had a problem with the velcro opening when it shouldn't, even when it's tucked into bags/backpacks with other items and jostling around. The padding goes all the way around and does a good job of protecting the camera from normal wear and tear, including all the times I've accidentally dropped it on the ground (from about waist height), bashed it against doorways, etc. As someone said, it's not designed to completely protect your camera against all weather, but it's fine in a light drizzle, and I've always carried it in a bag rather than on a belt. I'm certainly happy enough with it to get Dad one of these to go with his new A630 for Xmas!
