Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Canon PhotoCyan BCI-6PC Genuine Canon Ink TankCustomer Review: Canon rocks ! Summary: 5 Stars
Good deal with the combo. I have tried the OEM and it was not this good
Customer Review: Be careful Summary: 4 Stars
I ordered Canon BCI-6C Cyan for my Canon Pixma iP 4000. Amazon sent BCI-6PM Photo Magenta instead. It looks the same and fits in the printer but does not work. I contacted Canon who informed me that the photo ink tanks cannot be used in the printer I have. I have had to replace this with the proper tank and that solved the problem. I think Amazon should refund or replace with the proper number. The rating does not apply in this case.
Customer Review: Good for Canon printer Summary: 4 Stars
This ink works great with Canon printer. Unfortunately this is the ONLY ink that works great with a canon printer. Any other ink I tried produce terrible result. So, basically if you own Canon printer you stuck with this ink, which can be a little less expensive. I gave 4 stars because the price is a bit high.
Customer Review: Watchout for the 'P' Summary: 3 Stars
After putting this ink tank in my Canon i860 the color was WAY off on all my prints. The reason? My other ink tanks were not designated "photo" ink tanks. You cannot mix and match.
It's easy to get confused because the only difference is the 'P' in the code, i.e., BCI-6PC vs BCI-6C
It's easy to check, just look at your other color ink tanks and see if they have a 'P' designated on their label. If not, stay away from 'P' ink tanks. They do very little to improve photo prints anyway (I can't by any means see the difference).
Customer Review: Drowning in ink Summary: 3 Stars
I have had my Canon S9000 Printer for over 8 years with few problems except one...the ink tanks run on empty way too often. I suppose it is all political...sell a product that needs another product to survive. As ink tanks go the colors are all true blue, or pink for that matter.
