I purchased this printer because it was listed in Consumer Reports as a good buy.
The Canon Pixma MP 520 All-in-one Inkjet printer is well designed. It produces great copies from the computer and scanner. I have not used it to print pictures yet, so cannot comment on that function. All in all, I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Easy and quick to set up and install. Love the five color print quality. Have a computer that runs Windows Vista, and our old Lexmark printer never would work with Vista, even with downloaded fixes off of the Internet. This Canon works great. I read the reviews before purchasing this product and they were all positive and so it was just as expected, it has all the features I wanted and was easy to use. I didn't want to spend a lot of time trying to get it set up and figure out how to use it and didn't have to. The set up was quick and easy as is the use.Customer Review: Good printer

We purchased a Canon Pixma MP520 which was highly rated by Consumer Reports, and so far, so good. For a reasonably priced combination printer it is performing well. The print speed is good and the scanner has good quality resolution and is easy to use. So far, the feed is more reliable than on our HP.Customer Review: MP520

I was looking for a reasonably priced all-in-one printer. I did a fair amount of research, including consumer reports and most reviews were positive (the only negatives were about ink usage). I have had the printer for about a month and it works great. I haven't had to buy any ink yet.
