Purchased this canon printer to replace an older canon printer that wasn't supported by windows vista. I knew and trusted canon products and when I read that this printer was rated third by consumer report and Amazon had it marked down to $79.99 it was a no brainer. Text is just fine and pictures are excellent. Scanned images were good also. I haven't tried all the bells and wistles on this printer but I'm sure they will all perform as advertised and then some.
