this camera was great for about 1 year and then I got a red spot in the pictures when taken at night time which indicates dead pixels. the battery door is too weak so after a couple hundred of times of opening a closing it for replacing the batteries and dumping the pictures to the computer from the memory card removal the battery door broke off the 3 days later I started receiving a lens error please restart camera message so many times so I was going to buy a new camera and use this one as a spare until I grabbed up the camera and at the same time the wrist strap snapped and the camera fell to the floor and broke the lcd screen so there was nothing to do with tis one instead of throwing it away and buy a new one I think cannon should make the camera to last more than a year on the dead pixle or battery door issue
