This was our first digital camera and it was a birthday gift for my spouse. We have only had it a short time but have been very happy with this purchase. We live in Las Vegas and visited the strip to take some pictures including a volcano and a water show. All the pictures came out very fine.
I give this camera a high rating.

This particular camera is excellent, especially for the price. I had actually bought this to record a concert,(Nine Inch Nails). did really good, besides the poor lighting that went with the ballroom. Did not help what so ever. Got great audio. Got great videos. i got this camera from my sister about 2 yrs ago for my 20th high school reunion. i worked like a charm. have had it ever since than until i tripped and broke it. it was a great camera and wish i never broke it. the only problem is that when you are outside it is hard to see the pitcher on the screen in the sun light.Customer Review: Canon Camera- Awesome!

Really great camera. It has a big display screen, great photo quality, and is very easy to use. The camera is light and compact, but not so small I would misplace it, and it fits well and comfortably in my hand. The Canon A470 has a great price and great features. I like it better than the older model I had, an A85. The older had only 4mp, and appeared to have many more controls. The A470 takes only 2 AA batts, vs the 4 batts for the A85. I need a SIMPLE camera. The features for the price are tops.
