Bought this camera looking for an easy point and shoot that would still take good quality pics -- to offset our larger digital SLR (just too much of a pain to drag along some times).
After 4 days of use we are unimpressed. The picture quality is extremely grainy. The "charging flash" is extremely annoying. And the battery life is poor -- at least compared to other cameras I've had.
I'm sending this one back.

Like the AA batteries and size of camera, however, first day on a 2 week trip to Italy my camera lens would not retract when I shut the camera off. Made a terrible clunky sound and eventually I learned how to manually twist the lens so it would shut off and close! I guess you get what you pay for, but I am going to see if someone will fix it since I only had the camera a few weeks!

I was looking for something that would slip easily into a pocket. The photos look like it is small, but it is somewhat triangular to account for the AA batteries and is quite wide at one end. The best word to describe it is "clunky." I love my Canon S3 IS and would love to stick with Canon for my pocket camera, but I can't deal with the size and returned it.Customer Review: Bulky

The camera took a long time to arrive, when it did I was dissapointed. It's bulky and I didn't realize that it needed batteries. I returned it and got the sd1100 instead. It has the plug to charge it on the wall it's thin and hold lots of video time. It was worth the extra 20 dollars.Customer Review: Disappointing...

Disappointing product. Picture quality is worse than my old 5MP camera and the flash recharge is really annoying.
My power button also kept getting pressed while in the in my purse and now the lens open/shut mechanism is messed up. Overall, a HUGE letdown by Canon.
