Whether you are an amateur or experienced photographer, the Canon Powershot A7201IS delivers great pictures without the bulk or expense of a digital SLR. Compact size and a range of automatic modes make it a handy "point and shoot" camera anyone can use with ease. Manual modes allow the more experienced photographer to control the aperture and shutter speed to manipulate lighting effects and depth of field -- just like with an old-fashioned SLR. Is that cool or what? Extra zoom (4X) and large LCD screen are icing on the cake. Very impressive little camera.

I had a terrible experience with Sony MP8 digital last September due to lens problem as I mentioned before.(Now I gave it to a friend's kid as a toy).
Then some professional photographer recommended this one. I used it for my last trip with my children and grandkids to Orlando in this past Thanksgiving. Wonderful, wonderful. I found more wonderful feathers than I expected for $215.00 I paid for.
Image stablizer, 6x (v.s. 3x as in the majority),movie play, night scene,
firework,...etc. It is so easy for a grandma to us, and the result is excellent.

Delivery, price, and setting up the camera and software was very easy. The ability to pick it up and take pictures without a lot of hassle was excellent.
The zoom feature is very good. Framing pics takes some practice after having used an SLR for 30 years; but not difficult. The transfer of the pics to the computer was a snap and the auto feature of improving the skin tones work flawlessly.
We choose this because of the larger memory and the zoom feature because as amateurs we travel a lot (motorcycle) and take pics on the fly.

This camera has performed well in all situations I have subjected it to so far. I still have to learn some of the features. The zoom is great and the pictures are excellent with good color control. The flash is effective without shadow outlines, but there is some problem with red eye the way I use it. The LCD display is bright and works well even in relatively bright light. As a consequence, I have been using the display to compose pictures much more than with my previous camera. I also like being able to use AA batteries for power. It is a great camera.
