This is a $200 camera. ($199 MSRP according to the Canon website itself.) The $449 price tag on Amazon for this product is either or mistake or a complete ripoff. Even the $319 "sale" price is more than this product was ever or will ever be worth.
This would be a top choice camera for $200, with great quality and features for that value. But for $449 or even $319 you can get a much, much better camera.
This gets 1 star from me until Amazon reduces this atrocious price back down to the $200 range where it belongs.
Customer Review: bad photos on a fabulous vacation

My new camera, bought and used for my once-in-a-lifetime fabulous New Zealand/Australia Odyssey, has all the bells and whistles...and takes poor quality grainy pictures with "lines" across the image no matter what the setting. I thought it was my fault, but it wasn't (and still isn't.) Don't know if this is a flukey lemon in an otherwise good product line, but it doesn't matter. The damage is done and the photos can only be used as reference for sketches. I am extremely disappointed and will never buy another Canon camera.Customer Review: Not "Canon Quality"

Cons: It takes an eternity (around 8 seconds) to transfer a picture into the SD card after taking a picture. The pictures taken with any amount of zoom had "fisheyes" in them (both when reviewing the pictures on the camera and when downloaded on the PC).
Pro: None worth mentioning.
We returned it the same day we received it.

The time it takes for the flash to be active again in between photos is way to long.
