I've had this camera for several months now. I was looking for a good P&S camera that I could carry with me at all times. My dSLR was becoming too much of a burden for me to carry everywhere.
While most people are giving you the technical aspects of the camera, I'll talk more about the ease of use.
This camera was perfect for me. I have small hands and it's the perfect size for me to hold. My fingers line up with all of the buttons.
Although the power button is flush with the top of the camera, it is not at all difficult to turn on and off.
Moving around to the different settings is also very quick and easy to do.
Overall, this is a great little camera.

This review is all about Amazon's lack of customer support, not about the camera which happens to be great for it's size and intended use. Between the day that I ordered this camera and before it was shipped there was a price reduction from Canon. After searching for a customer support # for Amazon, which is not easy, I was told by one of their overseas support staff that I would be credited the difference. Great.
I then received an email the following day stating that this is not true and I would have to pay the original price even though everyone else in the country was selling it for less. Not a good business plan on their part.
I highly recommend this camera but I suggest that you buy it elsewhere.

O.K. so there are 14M Canon micro Camera's available, this is 12M.
I need the manual optical eye viewer, there are too many outdoor activities in bright sun where the LCD screen is not good enough and barely visable. I would prefer to see Canon keep at least one Elph series Camera with this option. Many do not need it but many outdoor fans do. This is the current highest pixel model w/eye-piece.
The camera's auto settings are very cool especially when you get close to an object and the Macro automatically kicks in. This is a newer feature over the older Canon Elph series.
Love the Camera and selected it over newer models. I would pick it over again.

I absolutely LOVE this little camera. It takes fantastic pictures, is extremely easy to use, and has all of the right features for a "point and shoot" digital camera system. In my opnion this is perfect for quick family photos at events such as Christmas, New Year's, Thankgiving, 4th of July, etc. I also love it's small form factor, making it easy to carry in your front pocket. It also take excellent video. The only thing I wish they'd added is an AC adapter so I can plug it into the wall when doing videos, but nothing a second battery can't cover for most situations. If you're looking for a nice, small, easy-to-use digital camera with GREA quality pictures, this thing is an absolute steal.Customer Review: Compact Love

Fantastic camera for the price. If you're a photo hound and love the accessibility of a small camera, this is the joint for you! Takes great HD video and really decent 12MP photos. Fewer settings make it that much easier to use. It's size is PERFECT for travel - fits in your pocket as if it isn't even there.
One recommendation is to go with a 16GB or higher memory card as the HD video takes up space quickly.
Overall, love this camera! Highly recommend.
