a great camera with all the features and flexibility one would want in a portable point n shooter. this is my first digital camera and although the 12 megapixels are overkill, the vivid images captured by both video and shooting are worth the extra buck. Once you become accustomed to the way everything works, shooting and capturing video becomes second nature. a credit to canon for making such an intuitive item...i am extremely pleased with my purchase.Customer Review: Great Camera!

This is a great camera. Lots of options and easy to use. The battery lasts a long time before needing charged and charges in just a couple of hours. I went on a 5 day trip and only needed to charge it one time. The only thing that I've had any kind of issue with is the battery/card cover door. It is located on the bottom of the camera and seems to be easily dislodged. It hasn't caused any problems though because it is on a hinge.Customer Review: Best SD Yet!

This is my third Canon SD, and it's the best by far. I also have a Canon S3 IS(12x optical zoom), but the 950 with 12 megapixels takes pretty good extreme zoom shots and is about 1/3 the size of the S3. The 950 shoots digital zoom to 500+mm (35mm equivalent), and an 8x10 at that zoom lacks some sharpness but really does not have any obvious graininess. The S3 is going to get a lot of shelf time.Customer Review: great pictures!

This camera is the best point and shoot. The pictures are clear and defined. Many point and shoots do not have the definition. There are no worries with this camera. Also when you snap the picture, the picture is actually taken unlike my Sony Powershot where there is a bit of a delay so you have to hold the camera in you've taken the picture. Great features and options. I us it underwater and love the video and photo capabilities. The sound capture underwater puts you in the action with the diver. Many option for picture formats and looks.
This is the second camera from Cannon in this series I have owned an loved both of them (My first one is floating to Japan as I lost hold of it underwater...;{
