This is a great camera. It takes excellent pics. I love the face recognition, and the ability to correct red-eye on the camera. It is a sturdy camera with lots of features. I have only had it a couple of months, but think it was well worth the money. I also like the fact that it is small, but powerful. I love the slr's, but do not always have room to carry a large camera. My last two digital cams were Kodak and they were ok, but the picture quality is much better with the Canon. The picture quality is excellent. You have to remove the battery for charging just something I have to get used to. I have no complaints. Amazon was easy to deal with and shipping was fast to Hawaii.
I previously had a Sony Cyber-shot that I was very happy with easy to carry and very good pictures. But the light sensor went out at 2 + years the 5 year warranty turned out to be worthless. We have two other Canon Power Shots and they have been excellent. Sony lost my business and Canon has it.

I pretty much love everything about this little point and shoot camera. I have taken this camera from the ski slopes, Disney World, and to the tops of mountains...and it performed well in all conditions. This is the first digital camera I purchased myself and I will be sure to keep purchasing Canon cameras in the future. Shutter speed for action shots, sub-par low light shooting, and extremely large video files are the only complaints I have. Otherwise...this is the camera you want!Customer Review: Canon 950is

Unbelievable! The images are sharp and well exposed. I have had to put the resolution on M2 because of the file size. It's a tad larger than my other Elph but still small emough to fit in my pocket or shirt. I also purchased the Canon acessory package. Case, battery. wrist and neck strap. To complete the package I also bought the Kingston card reader. It's plug and read unit that works very well right out of the box. I have owned two Canon ELPH cameras' in the past and this new one, the 12.1MP SD950IS ELPH is superb! The camera body is really easy to hold even though it is small enough to fit in a shirt pocket. The Canon folks really outdid themselves in design and operation. The camera software is easy to understand and simple to change defaults to suit conditions. I would highly recommend this camera and it will be ahead of the countless other cameras on the market for years to come!
