Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Canon RC-6 Wireless Remote Controller for Canon XT/XTi, XSi, T1i and T2i Digital SLR CamerasCustomer Review: Overpriced but performs as it should .... Summary: 4 Stars
Way over priced for what I'm sure is a very low cost product to produce, but it does what it is supposed to do. The little holder can be kept on the camera strap so not to lose it and to ensure it's available when needed. The product is very compact. When "testing" the angle range with my T2i to determine how far to the side I could be and still get the camera to take a picture, I was pleasantly surprised as I would argue I was behind the camera and it still took pictures. My first use of taking a family photo using the remote was a great success ... especially considering the involvement of an 8 1/2 month old. This product will be put to good use with many child milestones and family photos to come. Despite being overpriced, I would submit to anyone who already has $1000+ "invested" in a camera body and lens(es) and other accessories that purchasing this specific accessory is a no-brainer.
Customer Review: Not a bad remote Summary: 4 Stars
This remote isn't too shabby. It works pretty great if you want to do self portraits or family portraits or something. It only works from the front of the camera though, so if you want to take a long exposure shot or something related to nature/landscape and your hands aren't steady, you'll need another remote for that. That's about the only downside to it, but it's fully explained before you buy it that it only works when aimed in front of the camera.
It's super light and tiny so it fits into any camera bag. Has been great so far.
Customer Review: Works as expected on my 7D Summary: 4 Stars
It works as you would expect. Since it's IR based, dont expect to aim it away from your SLR and have it trigger.
I've been using it for a week with my 7D. It's exactly what I was looking for. Now I can pose for pics with my daugther and not need anyone else to assist. Also, I dont have to do the 10 second dash to pose for pics anymore.
I'm knocking one star for build quality. It feels cheap, which is fine but dont charge 25 for it then. The build quality screams 9.99 to me.
Customer Review: very good for small, slim wireless remote Summary: 4 Stars
I recently purchase this remote becz I was lazy using the self timer...overall i took 1 star off becz you have to point the remote at the lights in order for the shutter to trigger. 4stars becz of how nice, slim, small, wireless & convenient it is. I do recommend this product to anyone and everyone. The seller did great on the boxing and it came with a little pouch to be attach to the camera straps so you don't lost it.
Customer Review: Works Summary: 4 Stars
Was able to use the remote for photographing old photos, keeping a steady camera. Worked pretty much as promised. For someone enterprising, I'd like to see a "string" to go into the hole shown on the lower left corner so I can attach the remote to other places besides the camera strap. This is the default using the case, but shouldn't be the only place.
