Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Canon TC80N3 Timer Remote Control for EOS D30, D60, D10, 1D, 1V & 20D SLR CamerasCustomer Review: Works great Summary: 4 Stars
This product works great, you can do time lapse, interval based, long exposure, you name it.
The only downside is that it does not actually turn off. I placed a slip of paper over the batter to make sure it was not on at all. Apparently the power draw for it to be on, but not doing anything is so minor that it is ok. I would like to see if have an off function/button though.
Customer Review: does as advertised... Summary: 4 Stars
This does what it's advertised to do. Only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars is because like other people mentioned, it's a grey market item. Also there is no way to turn it off unless you remove the battery. I don't use it nearly enough to let it just waste the battery like that. Although it probably would take a good two years before the battery would die if left on 24x7x365. ;)
Customer Review: Canon TC80N3 pricey but nice addition Summary: 4 Stars
It is really nice for remotely operating the camera (I have a 40D). I use it for night-time shots and for the intervalometer. My only complains are price and the cord length. It would be a good deal under $100 but at $160, not so much. Also, the cord could stand to be twice as long if not more; one meter comes up a little tight for low shots with tall people (like me).
Customer Review: And another international warranty!!!! Summary: 4 Stars
I also received this remote with only the international warranty. I called Amazon and they immediately sent me out a replacement free of charge; Yeah. But alas, it too had the international warranty; @#$%!. I have returned both, unopened and unused on their dime. Perhaps this is the only version they have.
Customer Review: WORTH EVERY PENNY Summary: 4 Stars
For a piece of plastic this thing is amazing. I've used it on my 40D for about a month now. Lack of an off button is a little hard to get used to you but I learned to just think of it like a wristwatch or something where the battery is always going.
I recommend this product.
