I recently purchased this camcorder and have very few complaints. I'm not an over-the-top videophile but the picture quality looks great to me, it seems to have all of the features I wanted and it's fairly easy to use.
Look around and you can find a great deal on this model. I was able to buy it for $549.99 INCLUDING a 4GB Flash card and a genuine Canon camera bag. I don't want to say where I found it for this price, but let's just say it's a big box membership store and the names rhymes with "Ostco" :-)
