Description of Canon XL-H1 Professional Digital HD Camcorder
The Canon XL-H1 HD Camcorder offers a broad range of capabilities such as the Professional JackPack to send out an uncompressed HD signal through the HD-SDI terminal, input & output SMPTE time code and receive a Genlock signal. Genlock, short for Generator Lock, is a signal sent from an external source such as a sync generator or switcher to ensure the seamless interaction between images. This feature is perfect for Live broadcast which requires editing on the fly. The Free Run Mode runs continuously regardless of whether Record was pressed or not. This camera delivers all the options needed to flow seamlessly with existing workflows and expectations with terminals. The XL-H1 delivers 1080i HD resolution, along with selectable frame rates of 60i, 30F and 24F. For high-speed subjects, 30 Frame rate delivers spectacular clarity and 24 Frame rate gives the look and motion of film. The Memory card slot can be used to capture stills and meta-data that contain all the camera's settings. Store up to 20 Custom Presets to share between multiple cameras.With the XL-H1, you are capturing these images through genuine Canon optics, which rank among the very best in the world. Of course, this camcorder offers interchangeable lenses and the "open architecture" of the XL system.
