Customer Review: Simple and sophisticated; a must for every busy family or home office!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this as a replacement for a Samsung multifunction printer. Our laser Samsung unfortunately did not integrate with our computer(s) seamlessly and Samsung support for that model was nonexistent.

I have to declare I *LOVE* this printer. The ink lasts a very long time and the options for this price are amazing. From reducing/enlarging, 2 on 1, it is fabulous. The feature that sold it for me was the double-sided copy/scan function (duplex). That is/was impossible to find at this price point. Also, the buttons are self-explanatory so that my children use this without needing my help. I am also pleased by the scanner/paper feeder in terms of the motor speed. I no longer feel like I'm waiting on the machine to feed papers through; instead I am scrambling to keep up with the machine. The resolution is as good as any other laser printer I have seen, unless you are in the market for a Tektronix.

I purchased my refurbished Canon MF4150 about a year ago, so I can tell you that I know this machine well and I highly recommend it. It is durable, dependable, and affordable to maintain. The only feature this is missing is built-in wireless networking. I've used several different multifunction printers over the years in my home office; this one is my favorite so far.

Customer Review: Excellent Product Overall
Summary: 5 Stars

Overall I am very pleased with the product (I have been using it for only 2 days though - hence cannot comment on performance over time).

1) Laser printing is of very good quality especially considering the fact that the price of the printer is at $200.
2) ADF (automatic document feeder) is definitely a plus and is worth the additional $10-15 bucks you pay over the previous model Canon Image Class 3xxx
3) Copy functions work great - though you need to play to around with the settings to get the correct resolution for your document type (photo, text etc).
4) Yet to test the scanning features in more detail.
5) I was able to receive a fax. Sent a fax but no confirmation printout. Looked at the basic documentationn, advanced documentation no details anywhere as how to set this.

If at all a minor annoyance exists it is in the documentation. For e.g. Fax settings are very confusing to understand. I use a single line for both voice and fax and I have not been able to acheive a setting where it detects faxes and voice appropriately. I do not send faxes too often hence not overly concered about it.

Customer Review: Fast, crisp and full of features!

I was in the market for a new all-in-one after my HP Officejet 7115 continued to crash ... apparently the motherboard AND scannerboard went bad after only 2 years. I'll never buy an HP printer again!

So back to my old faithful brand, Canon (from whom I bought my original printer ... a BJ-210).

This MF4150 is extremely nice! I decided to go for a monochrome laser multifunction and get a dedicated color photo printer for the other stuff. This MF4150 is now my workhorse ... and does it work!

1) Fast (like most lasers)
2) Quiet, very quiet for a laser printer. Prints and "relaxes" within seconds.
3) Copying is as fast as the business copiers and excellent quality
4) I'm not using it for incoming faxes, but what we do fax out, it works great
5) Was simple to set up and get running - also came with software for Vista
6) Double-sided printing. At such a good price.
7) Toner is a little pricier than competition, but 3rd party toner is available at reasonable prices.

I could not be happier about this printer!!!

Customer Review: Canon Multi Function 4150 Laser is an excellent product. Canon rocks!
Summary: 5 Stars

The Canon MF 4150 is a joy to use with my home office Dell system. I copy alot of documents and then scan them, in order to email them along to colleagues. I'm very pleased with how easy and quick everything is. It's actually fun to use! Two minor complaints: sometimes when you scan a 4 or 5 page document, a page or two will scan crooked or tilted. There may be a way to correct this, but I haven't looked into that yet, as it is not too big a problem. Also, regarding faxing, you can slow the fax speed down and it will work over a digital phone line, though Canon will tell you it will not work reliably over a digital line because it is an analog fax. Wish it was a digital fax, but those are expensive and I only paid $150 for this super product. Canon tech support through their 800 phone line is absolutely amazing. They pick up either immediately or within 30 seconds and every person who came to the phone on three separate occasions helped me with ease and completely. Canon rocks! I love this machine and and I love Canon.

Customer Review: works on Apple MAC computers YEA !
Summary: 5 Stars

We've got three of these machines, and they work great on Windows PC computers, but also was happy to find out that our Mac works great with it too. On the Apple Mac computer, we can print from our OS 10.3.9 system easily (have not tried duplexing, but found a site on the web where someone else figured out a workaround, so with lots of work, it may be possible.) It totally does definitely function as a standalone COPIER with a Mac, and as a PRINTER, and also no problem with it as a FAX machine. My understanding is that it won't work as a SCANNER. That's okay with me, since the machine will COPY, FAX, and PRINT on the Mac computer. Highly recommended. Has held up really really well. Occasionally, the paper feed fails and gives an error message for no reason. Just shut off the power switch, and turn it back on and it is fine then. Can't think of a better machine in this price range. Good quality images, and very sturdy. Long lasting laser cartridge, after you get a replacement one.
