I bought this machine 2 weeks ago, after returning the Brother 7820. The Canon MF4150 is the perfect all-in-one machine for a home office. It does everything: faxing, copying, printing (including automatic duplex) and scanning. I like that it allows scanning straight to PDF. It's fairly quiet when it functions, although it uses enough power to cause some flickering of lights. I can overlook that because everything else about the machine is excellent; the print quality is great and it prints very quickly. The automatic feed works perfectly. The machine is very small and compact, too.
The manual contains basic information, and you have to rely on the CD-ROM to reference advanced features of the machine---and there are a LOT of features! It is truly amazing that you can buy a machine with so many features for this price! I am very happy with the Canon MF4150 and would recommend it to anyone looking for a black and white laser all-in-one.

This printer is simply amazingly for its price. The print and scanning quality and speed are excellent. It's very quiet and starts up almost without delay. It's also very reliable as I've not encountered any paper jam so far after printing more than 1000 pages and scanning 3000 pages. The automatic duplex printing is fast and excellent. The only imperfection is probably the lack of auto-duplex scanning. But I'm not complaining because you can't find that kind of capability anywhere for at the price of this printer. I've also found a way around it by using Adobe Acrobat to scan double-paged documents. The toner cartridge which came with the printer enabled me to print about 1,100 pages. I've installed a new toner cartridge which is rated at 2000 pages. The installation of toner cartridge is clean and very easy too. I can't find a better all-in-one monochrome laser printer around and I'd recommend it to any home user or small office.Customer Review: Great item, great price

The printing is fast, the blacks are deep, the print quality is high, and the duplex works like a charm. The unit does an enormous amount, for a bargain price.
I use it as a second printer (primary is HP LaserJet 4050) but when there are long documents involved I go straight to it to save paper. HP has better paper handling, esp. for envelopes.
For fax and copying it is fine. I am not a high-volume user, and, though changing the settings is not quite intuitive for my little brain, it gets the job done painlessly. And there are useful doodads, like the print-to-fax option appearing in your printer list automatically.
The onscreen document manager is slow to load and a bit clumsy to work with but not overly so.
Overall, a terrific unit implementing up-to-date technology. And the price point is downright incredible. Highly recommended!

This printer is an excellent little workhorse that takes up a very small footprint of space and provides an outstanding printed page. I bought it to scan batches of invoices and documents so that I could go paperless and this machine is perfect! It permits batch scanning so that you just load up the feeder and scan the stack into one PDF document that can be safely saved to your computer for years! No more file cabinets crowding your office....just scan and save!! The feeder doesn't jam or double-feed the pages. It's positively effortless. And the best part? It's a color scanner! And a copier, and a fax, and a printer! And it duplexes. As usual, Canon has created another fine machine. Definitely worth the money...crisp, clean printed pages and the toner is only about $65 for replacements. The reviews I read before purchasing it were accurate in their praises for this printer.Customer Review: PERFECT - for the price I paid!

Paid $180 with no tax and free shipping. The best features are:
1. Duplex printing, duplex copying, and duplex scanning.
2. Fax from my PC or by itself.
Could be a little loud when scanning but bearable. This machine replaced an HP Laserjet 1012, Canon U670 scanner, and PC fax card. Individually I paid well over $200 for them and now for $180 I have one machine that does everything! I am able to scan and archive all kinds of documents now which was the main thing I was looking for. A document scanner with ADF costs at leat $400 dollars. This machines is probably not professional grade but I just need to scan maybe 20 pages a day which now takes two minutes compared to half an hours with the flatbed scanner (placing and replacing each page and waiting for the scanner head to return to its original position after each scan). Absolutely love this machine!!!
