Customer Review: Amazing, light-weight, great quality and cheap
Summary: 5 Stars

I've ordered a ton of stuff from Amazon, but this is the first time I feel compelled to write a review. The printer is awesome. First, it's a LOT smaller than all the previous all-in-one MFC printers that I've owned (Brother-MFC9700, HP Inkject). Second, the scanner is lightning fast and the quality is excellent. The real reason I bought it is for the duplex printing which is just fantastic. Its quite cool. It prints out one side and then sucks it back in and prints on the other side. The start up time for the printing is microseconds. And who can argue with the price. I'm a HP devotee but with all the good reviews, I decided to order it and I couldn't be happier. I cannot comment on the fax because I haven't set it up and I am writing this review after owning it for just a couple of days but wow!.

Customer Review: Excellent for small office
Summary: 5 Stars

I upgraded my small office and decided to retire my HP all-in-one. One thing I looked for was a unit that could copy recepits and small items. This one has a flat bed that allows for that, whereas my older HP unit had a feed that wouldn't take small items. I also prefer the toner cartridge over the expensive ink cartridges of the HP. The laser printer is more economical and the print quality is outstanding. The set up for this was pretty easy and most things you need to do are simple one or two button operations. I still keep the manual out as a reference for specialty tasks. This unit collates and will take single sided copies and make them 2 sided. I like that a lot because it saves paper. I've had this a few weeks and I love it. The price was good and the quality is exceptional.

Customer Review: Great product
Summary: 5 Stars

Scans in color, prints in B&W, laser, not ink jet, which is exactly what I wanted and shopped for. Fast scanning directly to Acrobat (including color), good OCR, fast B&W copier, wakes up from energy saver mode in a blink of an eye. Excellent paper handling, including automatic document feeder. Only drawback: Fax - Telephone line in plus hook-up out as telephone with built in answering machine. Can use ANS-MODE, where fax won't work but ans machine does; or FAX/TEL, where receiving faxes works but won't answer - just get beeps when call on voice line. Manual fax works; have to read Acrobat manuals carefully. Was hoping FAX/TEL would distinguish incoming voice from fax. This is a small part of my need - the printing/scanning/copying is the main part, and that is all marvelous.

Customer Review: Canon 4150 Just Right for Home Office/Home
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought the Canon 4150 to replace an aging HP LaserJet 5L laser printer and an older and lower end HP Scanjet scanner. I could not be happier, especially considering the price. The printing speed is fantastic, the scanning works well. Duplex printing is a huge plus. Since this printer only has one USB port (no parallel ports), I found it useful to buy an external USB switch for connecting to more than one computer.

The integrated software on the HP was much better, despite being nearly 10 years old, but the HP also cost much more.

If you are in the market for a monochrome, multi-function laser printer, you should seriously consider this. Good price (<$200), and free shipping (at least at the time I bought it).

Customer Review: Does what it claimed very well. nice little workhorse
Summary: 5 Stars

I have used several all-in-ones before, both inject and laser. from brother to HP, this is the best by far. summarize the pro's and con's:
Pro's
1. duplex printing is a great paper saving tool
2. complete silent at standby with fast start up
3. small foot print and compact
4. paper handling is smooth, rarely any paper jam, quite unusual for a cheap all in one under $200
Con's
1. initial menu setting is quick complicated, but just have to do it once, follow the menu
2. cartridge is about $10 more than the compareable HP or Brother ones, considering it doesn't need to replace drum unit, overall cost is about the same
3. no network built in, u got what u pay for.
